Ensure the department has a clear Engineering financial strategy that aligns with hotel policies and ensure consistent implementation of this strategy.
Facilitate the production of the annual payroll budget for Engineering, including headcount and payroll establishment figures, and manage all payroll-related costs within agreed budgets in conjunction with Human Resources.
Prepare the annual Business plan with support from other operational functions.
Closely monitor the profitability of the Engineering department and provide solutions to improve problem areas, assisting in implementing corrective measures.
Continuously develop ideas to increase Engineering’s productivity and cost-efficiency with a positive impact.
Liaise and coordinate with other departments (i.e., marketing, accounts, and finance) as necessary to ensure the commercial sustainability of the operation.
Continuously review all Engineering service levels provided across the hotel through clear metrics and customer feedback, making necessary improvements.
Ensure effective implementation and administration of company-wide policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated Company objectives and UAE legislation requirements.
Develop and implement a range of diversity and inclusion initiatives with a clear focus on sustainability.
Lead and manage all Capex projects with a clear timeline to support business operations smoothly.
Ensure adherence to supply chain and logistics in all activities relevant to maintenance repairs and Capex.
