Contract Specialist
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and revise contracts, including procurement, construction, and service agreements.
- Ensure contracts align with project requirements and comply with company policies and legal regulations.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in contract terms and conditions.
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with project managers, legal, and procurement teams to achieve favorable contract terms.
- Resolve contractual disputes and issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Oversee the execution and administration of contracts to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Monitor contract performance and manage any changes or amendments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
- Ensure all contracts comply with local and international legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact contracts.
- Collaborate with various departments, including legal, finance, procurement, and project management, to ensure contract requirements are met.
- Provide guidance and training on contract-related matters to internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of contract law, terms, and conditions.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
