Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensuring the safety of the facility patrons and lifeguard team;
  2. Supervising and training the lifeguard team;
  3. Supervising the daily facility safety inspection.

Qualifications:

  1. Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques;
  2. Leadership and public relations skills;
  3. Understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies, and procedures;
  4. Ability to instruct, assign, supervise, and evaluate lifeguards in the performance of their duties;
  5. The ability to identify hazards and unsafe practices and to make suitable recommendations for minimizing or eliminating those hazards;
  6. Decision-making skills.
