The American University in the Emirates is searching for a Senior Manager in charge of Assessment and Accreditation who will be responsible for leading the AUE’s academic and institutional assessment initiatives to ensure continuous improvement, institutional effectiveness, and compliance with accreditation standards. This role is key in fostering a culture of assessment, data-driven decision-making, and quality enhancement across academic programs. They will work closely with faculty, staff, and administrators to implement best practices in assessment and accreditation, supporting the university’s mission and strategic goals. This position plays a critical role in advancing academic excellence and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and outcome-based evaluation KPIs, ultimately contributing to the AUE’s mission and long-term success.
Qualifications & Experience
Master’s degree in education, assessment, higher education administration, or a related field (Doctorate preferred)
Minimum 5-7 years experience in academic assessment, program effectiveness, and accreditation processes within higher education
Strong knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements from regional and international accrediting bodies
Proven ability to lead institutional and program-level assessment initiatives
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Experience working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators to foster a culture of assessment and continuous improvement
Preferably bilingual (speaks English and Arabic fluently)

Job Description
Develop, implement, and oversee university-wide assessment policies, frameworks, and processes to evaluate student learning outcomes and institutional effectiveness.
Collaborate with academic and administrative units to establish measurable goals, learning outcomes, and assessment strategies that enhance program quality and student success.
Analyze assessment data, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
Promote best practices in assessment through professional training, workshops, and consultations with faculty and staff.
Lead and coordinate accreditation efforts at the program levels to maintain compliance with regional and international accreditation bodies.
Serve as the primary liaison for accreditation, ensuring timely submission of reports, self-studies, and documentation required for reaffirmation and new accreditations.
Support colleges in preparing for accreditation site visits, evaluations, and audits.
Monitor changes in accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, advising AUE leadership on necessary adjustments.
Work with deans, department chairs, program directors, and faculty to integrate assessment practices into curriculum development and program reviews.
Provide guidance and resources to faculty on assessment methodologies, data interpretation, and strategies for enhancing student learning outcomes.
Foster a culture of assessment through communication, professional training, and engagement initiatives that encourage participation and continuous improvement.
Align assessment and accreditation efforts with the AUE’s strategic plan and institutional strategic goals.
Develop and maintain assessment reports, accreditation documentation, and program effectiveness plans to support internal and external reporting requirements.
Present findings and recommendations to AUE leadership to guide academic planning and resource allocation.
