Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily landscape operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients to develop and implement landscape design plans that meet their aesthetic and functional needs.
- Manage and mentor a team of landscape workers, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills and efficiency.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Maintain inventory of landscaping supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary tools are available for the team.
- Develop and manage project schedules, allocating resources effectively to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Implement sustainable landscaping practices, promoting eco-friendly solutions to enhance environmental health.
- Collaborate with other departments such as irrigation, maintenance, and design to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on project statuses, labor hours, and materials used for accurate billing and future planning.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns promptly and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Desired Candidate Profile
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in landscape management, showcasing a proven track record of successful project oversight.
- Certifications in landscape design or management, such as CLP or CLT, to validate expertise and commitment to the profession.
- Experience with landscape design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) to create and modify design plans effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders proficiently.
- Strong understanding of horticultural practices, plant identification, and pest management to ensure plant health and aesthetics.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks and operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Proven leadership abilities, with a knack for motivating and guiding teams to achieve common goals.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and another language (e.g., Spanish) preferred to enhance team communication and client relations.
- A creative mindset, with the ability to visualize and implement innovative landscape designs that delight clients.
