Job Description: Sales Engineer (Heat Exchangers, Heat Transfer, and Furnaces)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer with expertise in heat exchangers, heat transfer technologies, and furnaces. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, developing customer relationships, and providing technical solutions tailored to our clients’ needs. This role requires a strong understanding of thermal systems and their applications across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales and Business Development
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the heat exchanger, heat transfer, and furnace markets.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients, demonstrating product capabilities and solutions.
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets through strategic planning and execution.
  2. Technical Expertise
    • Provide technical consultation to clients, understanding their requirements and offering tailored solutions.
    • Collaborate with the engineering and R&D teams to ensure solutions meet client specifications.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies in heat transfer and thermal systems.
  3. Proposal and Quotation Management
    • Develop detailed proposals and quotations, including cost estimation and project timelines.
    • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with clients.
  4. Market Research and Strategy
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and new market opportunities.
    • Contribute to the development of sales strategies and marketing initiatives.
  5. Customer Support
    • Provide post-sale technical support and troubleshooting as needed.
    • Act as a liaison between the client and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or application engineering in heat exchangers, heat transfer, or furnace technologies.
  • Strong understanding of thermal systems, heat exchanger design principles, and furnace operations.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a technical environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with simulation tools such as HTRI, Aspen, or similar thermal design software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, API, or TEMA.
  • Familiarity with various heat transfer applications, including HVAC, chemical processing, and power generation.
