Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager – Group Internal Sharia Audit
Location: Dubai, UAE
Job Summary:
Lead the development and implementation of a Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) for the Group Internal Sharia Audit function, ensuring compliance with Sharia Governance Standards, Regulatory Requirements, and Global Internal Audit Standards. Optimize audit processes to strengthen the bank’s Sharia Governance, Risk Management, and Controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute a comprehensive QAIP, aligning with IIA and AAOIFI standards.
Conduct quality assessments, client satisfaction surveys, and address gaps.
Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to ISSC Fatwas, policies, and industry best practices.
Develop key metrics and periodic reports to monitor audit performance and quality.
Update audit documents and prepare strategic presentations for senior committees.
Manage action plans and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for continuous improvements.
Coach and train staff, ensuring their professional development and adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher; Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) required.
Experience: 5-10 years in internal audit (3+ years in quality assurance) within large GCC banks.
Skills:
Proficient in internal auditing standards, QAIP, and data analytics.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and project management skills.
Leadership abilities to develop talent and drive results.
