Roles and Responsibilities

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage projects within our refinery and petrochemical operations. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Manage the team under the unit in executing the projects and provide guidance and directives to ensure successful completion of the project. Leverage expertise in Refining and Petrochemical projects and provide the appropriate actions for the team to follow in all phases of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
2. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and maintenance, to achieve project objectives.
3. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
4. Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
6. Communicate project status to stakeholders and senior management.
7. Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
8. Conduct post-project evaluations and implement lessons learned.
9. Management of implementation of the project conforming to relevant design documents.
10. Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities troubleshooting, PGTR and coordination with licensors & other stakeholders.
11. Overseeing and providing guidance for normal operations, plant startup and shutdown including various emergency shutdowns & operations of critical equipment like compressors, blowers, pumps, furnaces, incinerators, and extruders.
12. Overseeing and providing guidance for plant activities for production.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Facilitation of management of preventive & breakdown maintenance of various mechanical equipment, maximizing utilization of available resources, reducing time, maintaining safety & quality standards in work, ensuring process safety & safety standards including Hazop/risk analysis/design standards/guidelines are adopted.
2. Implementation of control systems with in-depth understanding of P&ID/PFDs storage, handling, bagging & dispatch of petrochemical products.
3. Utilities & Off-site activities.
4. Facilitation of development of operating manuals/supervisory manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring that all the plant operational activities, start-ups, and shutdowns are carried out safely as per the Licensor/internally developed SOPs.
5. Other responsibilities include all activities related to routine maintenance, Turnaround Maintenance/shutdown activities, plant preservation activities, monitoring of plant parameters, feedback on plant operations, training and equipping new hires on plant SOPs, emergency procedures.
6. Knowledge in using digital platforms for efficient monitoring & report generation (weekly/monthly/yearly).
7. Ensure all project activities adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
8. Maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
10. Identify and assess project risks, develop risk mitigation strategies.
