Heavy Bus Driver

Job Responsibilities

1. Safely operate a heavy bus, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of passengers while adhering to all traffic regulations.
2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in optimal working condition, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
3. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while assisting passengers with boarding, disembarking, and any special needs they may have.
4. Navigate routes effectively using GPS systems and local maps, adjusting for traffic conditions and road closures as necessary.
5. Enforce safety protocols, including seatbelt use and proper behavior among passengers, to ensure a secure travel environment.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, route changes, and any incidents that may arise during transit.
7. Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on safety regulations, driving techniques, and customer service skills.
8. Monitor passenger behavior and address any issues that arise, ensuring a respectful atmosphere on the bus.
9. Complete and submit daily logs and reports, documenting driving hours, incidents, and maintenance needs accurately.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Driving License No. 6 with minimum 1 year of experience and validity.
2. Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
3. Excellent communication skills in English, with additional languages preferred to aid diverse passenger groups.
4. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the transportation schedule.
5. Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive travel experience for all passengers.
