Private Equity Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Private Equity Associate with a strong background in valuations, financial modelling, and transaction support. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in investment banking or a related field and a solid understanding of the private equity investment process. This role will involve supporting the team in evaluating, structuring, and executing investment opportunities across the GCC.

You will be directly involved in the expansion of this business, with considerable opportunities for development and progression. The role title can also be flexible, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Investment Analysis and Valuation: Perform detailed financial analysis and valuations, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis, to assess the viability of potential investment opportunities.
• Financial Modelling: Build, maintain, and enhance complex financial models to support investment decision-making and forecasting.
• Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including market research, competitive analysis, and financial statement review.
• Deal Execution: Assist in all aspects of deal execution, including structuring, negotiation, and closing activities, in collaboration with legal, financial, and advisory teams.
• Portfolio Management: Support in the monitoring and management of portfolio companies, including performance analysis and the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Market Research: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, economic factors, and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Master’s degree or CFA is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance, with a strong focus on valuations and financial modeling.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel for financial modeling and valuation purposes.
• Solid understanding of private equity deal structures, due diligence processes, and transaction documentation.
