Lead Process Engineer

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including a minimum of five (5) years (preferred) in the GCC region.
• Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position in mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers, and Engineers.
• Offshore experience is a must, while ADNOC experience is desired.
• Proficient in Process Simulation software such as HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer, PipeNet, Pipesim, OLGA, etc., and should be a subject matter expert.
• Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
• Experience of working in a multi-project/multi-disciplined environment and throughout all engineering and design phases of projects.
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise Process Engineering Teams in Feasibility, Conceptual Studies, Pre-FEED, FEED, and EPC Projects.
• Undertake process design work of units as required, supervise and check works of assigned engineers on the project as appropriate.
• Execute process engineering activities within the budget and schedule, as well as maintaining the technical integrity of the design.
• Ensure that detail design methods, standards, and data used conform with Client's requirements and/or those issued.
• Be responsible for the checking or approval of basis of design, process calculations, and safety-related calculations to develop the robust design.
• Review and approve Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, PSFS, DPTDs, Equipment & Instrument specifications, Process Descriptions, cause, and Effect chart, etc.
• Review and approve dynamic simulation study, transient study, surge study, Minimum Metal Design Temperature (MDMT) study, etc.
• Review and approve depressurization studies, flare load estimation, and flare system design.
• Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed.
• Review and approve safety-related calculations and provide input to HAZOP, SIL, and other safety reviews as required.
• Identify new methodology of work processes required for higher productivity.
• Contribute where necessary to the review of supplier quotations and reviews of the project.
• Ensure that requirements of Licensor's Secrecy Agreements are known and complied with in the work performed.
• Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with client engineers.
• Identify issues that impede project progress and report to Project Managers, Engineering Manager.
