Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests/work orders as assigned.
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications.
Inspect and interpret readings as required in real time, to determine areas of interest.
Inspect Depot & station building and other structures to determine functional system and detect malfunction and needed repair, making notes and recommendations using inspection check sheet and job task.
Assist Engineer in preparing technical reports and site inspection reports.
Prepare and complete the 'Planned Preventative Maintenance' for Station/Depot structures including housekeeping.
Set-up and calibrate all equipment used, interpret, evaluate, and document results through formal reports.
Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
Assist in monitoring & supervising all civil works being performed by outside contractors.
Responsible for 24 hours emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
Carry cell phones as required for on-call maintenance.
Monitor and maintain all depot building systems, infrastructures - Roads, pavement, sidewalks, viaduct, track drainage, fences, barriers and station structures as assigned.
Responsible for alerting the Snr. Civil Engineer of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable local codes, regulations, and requirements.
Maintain a professional courteous manner with all Dubai Tram Staff, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Skills Required
Knowledge of arithmetic and algebra.
A sense of urgency, good attention to detail, and follow-through.
Knowledge of the standard practices, processes, tools, equipment, and materials of masonry, plastering, carpentry, excavation, and backfilling.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the trade.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
Ability to determine the quality of materials used.
Ability to rig and work from scaffolds.
Experience in using and following up operations with CAFM system.
Excellent computer skills in Word and Excel are required for reporting.
