Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and certified EV Technician with moderate experience in electric vehicle (EV) repair and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EV systems, including high-voltage components, battery technology, and charging infrastructure. This role will involve performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on EVs while also assisting with conventional vehicle repairs when needed. The technician will play a key role in expanding our service offerings and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnostics and Repairs: Perform diagnostics and repairs on electric vehicles, including high-voltage systems, batteries, electric motors, and power electronics. Use EV-specific diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on EVs.
• Safety Compliance: Follow high-voltage safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Battery Maintenance: Diagnose and repair battery-related issues, including battery management systems (BMS). Perform battery replacements and ensure proper disposal or recycling of old batteries.
• Charging Systems: Troubleshoot and repair EV charging systems, including Level 1, Level 2, and DC fast chargers. Assist with the installation and maintenance of EV charging infrastructure.
• Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and maintenance requirements. Provide recommendations for preventive maintenance and upgrades.
• Training and Development: Stay updated on the latest EV technologies and repair techniques. Assist in training junior technicians on EV systems and safety procedures.
• Conventional Vehicle Repairs: Assist with the repair and maintenance of conventional vehicles when not working on EVs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Diploma or certification in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in EV repair and maintenance, with a total of 3-5 years in automotive repair. Experience with high-voltage systems, battery diagnostics, and electric motors.
• Certifications: ASE L3 (Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist) or equivalent certification. OEM-specific EV certifications (e.g., Tesla, Nissan, BMW) are a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using EV diagnostic tools and software. Strong understanding of battery technology and charging systems. Familiarity with on-board diagnostics (OBD) for EVs.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

• Location: Dubai, UAE
• Environment: Workshop setting with exposure to high-voltage systems and EV components.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, etc.).
