Job Description

• Design and optimize power systems to ensure efficient energy distribution, emphasizing renewable energy sources when applicable.
• Analyze system performance data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective measures to enhance efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve power system issues to maintain reliability and performance.
• Develop and implement energy-saving strategies to reduce consumption and costs.
• Conduct energy audits, analyze usage data, and monitor compliance with energy regulations and sustainability goals.
• Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of power systems for new or upgraded facilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate power systems with existing infrastructure and emerging technologies.
• Develop budgets, timelines, and risk assessments for energy-related projects, ensuring adherence to financial and scheduling constraints.
• Participate in R&D efforts to innovate new power solutions that enhance sustainability and efficiency.
• Stay updated with industry regulations, standards, and emerging trends to ensure compliance and innovation in power engineering initiatives.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations, translating complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide training to enhance their skills and professional development.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for system failures, applying analytical expertise to resolve issues effectively.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in power generation, distribution, or transmission sectors.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential is required.
• Experience with renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, or hydroelectric systems is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills combined with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving in complex engineering scenarios.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information clearly to non-engineers.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership in project management undertakings.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (verbal and written).
