Job description

The successful candidate will execute the social media strategy across different channels for the main brand and the sub-brands. They will also be responsible for community engagement and performance reporting. Content is in Arabic and English across multiple projects under the ELF umbrella. Core accountabilities are across four main areas: research, content creation, account management, and performance reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Deliver clear and accurate messaging about Emirates Literature Foundation's mission, values, expertise, and initiatives.
  2. Contribute to and support the ELF MarComms strategy with regards to increasing followership and engagement as well as awareness about its varied initiatives.
  3. Create engaging, accurate, and timely content across various channels including digital, print, and social media, ensuring grammatical correctness, clarity, and coherence.
  4. Study platform updates, algorithm changes, social media trends, and best practices to inspire compelling content creation.
  5. Develop content calendar and work closely with the wider Marcomms team to produce engaging content.
  6. Manage accounts with consistent posting, timely response and engagement, and amplifying brands reach by partnering with sponsors, speakers, and influencers.
  7. Adapt and modify copy for different channels and target audiences while maintaining consistent messaging and brand integrity across channels such as Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and webpages.
  8. Proofread and edit content for grammatical correctness, coherence, and clarity, ensuring high-quality editorial standards are met.
  9. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their message and target audiences to reflect it accurately while ensuring user engagement.
  10. Prepare and/or interpret Media Briefs that ensure relevant messaging.
  11. Work closely with members across the MarComms team to edit and modify content that meets the department's KPIs and targets.
  12. Manage multiple projects and accompanying timelines, while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  13. Create and share regular reports and provide suggestions for improvement. Use analytics to inform a targeted approach on social media for sustained growth.
  14. Assist in pitching creative content ideas for internal teams, as well as for media platforms.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  1. Native-level fluency in Arabic, with an excellent command of grammar, vocabulary, and spelling.
  2. Knowledge of the literary and cultural landscape.
  3. A creative nature that loves brainstorming and storytelling.
  4. Familiarity with SEO tools.
  5. Team player.

Prior agency experience preferred.
