Assistant Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and bookkeeping while ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
• Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial records regularly.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support VAT filing and compliance as per UAE tax regulations.
• Maintain proper documentation and organization of financial records.
• Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documents.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE accounting standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT regulations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar).
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
