Job Description

Morgan Consulting Engineers are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical engineering activities on a site supervision project. This role requires a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, particularly in managing electrical installations and ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of local authorities and procedures in UAE to facilitate smooth project execution.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee all electrical work on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
2. Monitor construction progress and ensure that electrical installations comply with project schedules and budgets.
3. Ensure designs are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
4. Collaborate with project managers and other disciplines to integrate electrical systems into overall project design.
5. Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
6. Establish and implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards.
7. Review and approve electrical test plans and reports.
8. Ensure that all electrical work meets safety standards and regulations.
9. Maintain detailed records of site activities, inspections, and changes in project scope.
10. Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project closeout reports.
11. Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during installation and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 8 years in site supervision or project management.
3. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
4. Proven experience working with local authorities in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and familiarity with local regulations and standards.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
6. Strong understanding of UAE electrical codes, safety regulations, and local authority requirements.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
