Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Ocean Freight Specialist with strong expertise in freight forwarding operations and pricing to join our team in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing end-to-end logistics processes, coordinating shipments, and developing competitive pricing strategies to drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

• Oversee daily freight forwarding operations, ensuring efficient coordination of shipments (sea, air, and land).
• Manage and track shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with client requirements.
• Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, and agents to ensure smooth execution of freight processes.

Pricing & Quotation Management:

• Develop competitive pricing strategies by analyzing market rates and negotiating with vendors.
• Prepare and submit quotations to clients based on shipment requirements and cost analysis.
• Monitor and adjust pricing in response to market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities.

Customer Coordination & Support:

• Act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status and resolving operational issues.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and offering tailored logistics solutions.
• Coordinate with internal departments (sales, finance, and documentation) to ensure seamless service delivery.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Ensure all shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) are accurately prepared and filed.
• Maintain compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.

Market Analysis & Reporting:

• Track and analyze freight costs, operational performance, and market conditions to recommend improvements.
• Provide regular operational reports and pricing updates to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in freight forwarding operations and pricing.
• Strong understanding of shipping procedures, customs regulations, and international trade practices.
• Proven ability to develop and manage pricing models and negotiate with suppliers.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in freight forwarding software and MS Office.
• Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
