Financial Strategy and Leadership
Develop and execute the group’s financial strategy in alignment with corporate and shareholder goals, focusing on sustainable growth and long-term profitability.
Lead the development of financial models and forecasts for strategic planning, ensuring transparency and accountability to investors and the board.
Drive decision-making processes related to mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, evaluating the impact on stock performance and shareholder value.
Public Company Compliance and Financial Reporting
Oversee the preparation of financial statements in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and MENA regional regulatory requirements.
Ensure the organization meets all disclosure and compliance requirements for publicly listed entities, including quarterly and annual financial statements, earnings calls, and shareholder meetings.
Interface with external auditors, regulators, and financial authorities to ensure compliance with all reporting and governance standards.
Capital Markets and Fundraising
Lead efforts to secure and manage capital through debt and equity financing, maintaining a strong presence in capital markets.
Develop and maintain relationships with investment banks, analysts, and institutional investors to support the group’s funding needs and shareholder interests.
Strategize and oversee debt management, capital allocation, and liquidity, ensuring optimal capital structure to support business objectives.
Investor Relations
Act as the primary point of contact for shareholders, analysts, and potential investors, providing accurate and transparent financial information.
Prepare and present financial results, earnings guidance, and corporate strategy updates in investor meetings and public forums.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance shareholder engagement and market confidence, including roadshows and quarterly earnings presentations.
Risk Management and Compliance
Establish and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework that aligns with MENA regulatory standards and mitigates potential risks associated with public trading.
Oversee compliance with corporate governance standards, ensuring adherence to all regional regulations and stock exchange requirements.
Implement financial controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and promote operational efficiency.
Performance Management and Optimization
Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes to monitor group performance, optimize costs, and support operational decisions.
Set financial performance metrics and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to maximize efficiency and profitability across the group.
Partner with operational leaders to improve cash flow, margins, and resource allocation.
Team Leadership and Development
Build, lead, and mentor a diverse finance team across different regions, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ensure alignment across corporate and subsidiary finance functions, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
Drive initiatives to enhance the team's technical capabilities, especially in financial analysis, compliance, and investor relations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MSc) or professional certifications (CPA, CFA) highly preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with significant experience in publicly traded companies, preferably within the MENA region.
Proven track record in financial strategy, capital markets, and investor relations in a publicly listed environment.
Experience with IFRS, MENA-specific financial regulations, and compliance for publicly traded entities is essential.
