We are seeking highly skilled Buoy Maintenance Supervisors (BMS) to join our dynamic team on a rotational contract.
As a Buoy Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide high quality, cost effective diving support, supervision, and advice to the Contract Manager. Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, this position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact and drive our success.
Responsibilities include:
Supervision of diving activities ensuring all operations are carried out in accordance with IMCA diving standards.
Managing inspection and maintenance of Single Point Mooring (SPM) buoys, hoses, moorings, PLEM, and subsea pipelines.
Ensure that all equipment used in the execution of diving operations is fully maintained, certified, and fit for purpose.
Supervision of any inspection and maintenance work carried out by Remote Operated Vehicles.
Take part in any pollution control response, incident, or exercise, within the Terminal and as otherwise directed to assist.
Ensuring that all operations at the Terminal are conducted in accordance with the company policies.
Assist on-site management in maintaining an accurate inventory of field spares, stock, and SPM related asset spares.
Ensure that accurate records of all diving and ROV operations are maintained and kept for future reference.
Plan and provide leave schedules for diver team to ensure adequate coverage to prevent disruption to Client operations.
Ensure that all divers maintain accurate and up-to-date records of their individual diving and ROV activities.
Maintain all legally required documentation, safely stored and accessible as and when required by authorized personnel.
Ensure the safety of divers during the execution of every diving operation.
Conduct bi-annual performance appraisals for Smit Lamnalco employed personnel and take action to improve performance.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
IMCA approved diving experience is needed with SPM Operational Diving expertise being essential.
Proven experience with 4-6 years in a similar role is required with demonstrated success and achievements.
Strong leadership, managerial, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills are a prerequisite for this position.
Fluent English communication skills are essential to interact seamlessly with our multinational and multicultural crew and staff, with additional language skills seen as an added benefit in the region.
