Job description
Job Summary:
Manage all aspects of Customer service Operations and wide knowledge in UAE custom procedures, regulations, and documentation. Ability to identify any potential operational or financial risks.
Responsibilities:
Manage all customs activities in accordance with DPW Logistics needs and customer requirements.
Ensure Import/Export declarations are submitted in full compliance within the available timeframe.
Monitor and ensure DPWL legal entities documentation and accounts validation in accordance with validity and renewal time, such as Mirsal II code, preparing the daily E-clearance reports with respect to the customs requirements.
Evaluate and manage the cost of transportation jobs & services within available budget.
Proficiency on all Dubai trade functions and tools, mastering usage of Calogi/ Emirates portal, all shipping lines online portals, Dubai chamber, and Dubai Municipality.
Ensure all outstanding balance at DT and SG account deposits is settled in time to avoid penalties/fines.
Maintain billing cycle flowing accurately on daily basis. Ensure billing is made in conformity to DMA and DPWORLD Tariffs.
Ensure refund requests are submitted within the allowed timeframe to avoid any forfeiture.
Liaise with the sales team on receipt of booking and assign to respective Freight Forwarding team taking into consideration the distribution of workload.
Lead the Freight Forwarding team in providing high end services while ensuring accuracy and no disruption in operation processes. Ensure Freight Forwarding team is up to date on implementation of legal regulations and new practices by customs, DM, DMA, Dubai trade, Shipping Lines, Terminal, and PCFC.
Essential Qualification: Bachelors/Masters in relevant field
Work Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in the freight forwarding Customer Service function. 5 years' experience as team lead/supervisor.
