Procurement Officer
Job description
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency.
- Sourcing and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Managing the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and disputes as needed.
- Maintaining accurate records of procurement transactions and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Keeping up-to-date with market trends and developments in procurement practices and technologies.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and meet procurement needs and objectives.
- Managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Ensuring ethical and sustainable procurement practices are followed.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a track record of success in cost savings and efficiency.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers.
- Experience in managing procurement processes from requisition to delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and compliance.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in other languages as needed.
