The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial loan accounts and developing new business relationships. They evaluate loan applications, conduct credit risk assessments, and negotiate loan terms. The Commercial Loan Officer also provides financial advice and guidance to clients and assists with loan documentation and compliance.
Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of commercial loan accounts and ensure their proper servicing.
Evaluate loan applications and conduct credit risk assessments.
Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and collateral valuation.
Negotiate loan terms and conditions with clients.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and referral sources.
Provide financial advice and guidance to clients regarding loan options and structures.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with loan policies and regulations.
Prepare loan proposals and present recommendations to loan committees.
Assist clients with loan documentation and closing processes.
Monitor loan performance and take appropriate actions in case of delinquencies or defaults.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial lending.
Strong knowledge of commercial loan underwriting and credit risk assessment.
Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.
Strong understanding of loan documentation and legal requirements.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
