Work closely with key stakeholders to develop the digital strategy, roadmaps, and partner with implementation teams to ensure successful delivery of digital platforms.
Review and analyze user requirements, recommend and develop solution proposals to meet customer requirements, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide digital architecture strategy.
Review business processes and functional requirements to optimize solution architecture, recommending potential options, selecting the most optimal option, and developing a roadmap for the selected solution.
Participate in technology selection, control solution development, and support project management.
Communicate the optimized architecture to stakeholders, collaborate and coordinate with existing domain architects in formalizing and adopting proposed standards and procedures.
Ensure proposed solutions fulfill functional requirements and comply with technology solution standards guidelines.
Support architectural aspects of all digital plant application projects.
Perform digital architecture governance function by conducting formal reviews of project artifacts to ensure alignment with overall digital architecture vision.
Develop policies and standards for digital platform governance and solutions architecture.
Develop and maintain digital platform architecture blueprints.
Communicate and present digital architecture proposals to peers and senior management.
Develop business architecture and capability maps guidance for the delivery team.
Design scalable and integrated digital solutions.
Ensure seamless integration of solutions into D&TMD's existing ecosystem.
Requirements:
This role requires the candidate to permanently relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
Hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience as a solution architect within refining or gas plants, with strong knowledge in designing, implementing, and commissioning digital plant solutions for refinery or gas plants.
Certification such as Fundamentals of Engineering, Professional Engineering, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent is highly desirable.
Proficient in ISA 95 Model Architecture and its associated functions.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman, and architecture analysis for decomposing business processes into functional, application, and data architectures.
Skilled in software technologies and vendors evaluation and selection based on quantitative decision analysis methods.
Previous experience in developing business cases and conducting benefit/cost analysis for Digital Plant solutions.
Certification in TOGAF, Open Group Open Certified Architect (Open CA), or any other relevant architecture certification desired.
Demonstrated solid understanding of the latest digital technologies including Artificial Intelligence, blockchain, IoT, data science and analytics, cloud computing, Integration, DB technologies (relational, timeseries), etc.
Experience in designing and deploying solutions in cloud-native enterprise applications in public, private, and hybrid cloud models (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift).
