Job description
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' dental and facial structure to diagnose malocclusions and other orthodontic issues
- Create personalized treatment plans to correct dental irregularities and achieve optimal dental aesthetics and function
- Apply orthodontic appliances, including braces, aligners, and retainers, to gradually move teeth into proper alignment
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their treatment plans
- Provide education and guidance to patients on maintaining good oral hygiene and caring for orthodontic appliances
- Collaborate with other dental specialists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in the field of orthodontics through continuous learning and professional development
Requirements
- Dental degree and valid license to practice as a Specialist Orthodontist
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating orthodontic cases
- Strong knowledge of orthodontic principles, practices, and treatment techniques
- Expertise in applying and adjusting orthodontic appliances
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues
- Detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address complex orthodontic cases
