Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical System Design: Design and develop mechanical systems for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
• Consultancy Services: Provide expert consultancy on mechanical systems, offering solutions that enhance efficiency, performance, and sustainability for client projects.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed mechanical design drawings, calculations, and project specifications. Review mechanical designs submitted by contractors and ensure they meet project requirements.
• Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Estimate costs for mechanical systems, including materials, labor, and equipment. Assist in preparing tenders and project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Site Supervision & Inspections: Oversee the installation of mechanical systems on-site, ensuring that the work adheres to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, electrical engineers, civil engineers, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems with other building components.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all mechanical installations comply with UAE building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Energy Efficiency & Sustainability: Promote energy-efficient mechanical systems and recommend sustainable practices, including the use of green technologies in HVAC and other mechanical systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical design and consultancy, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
• Proficiency in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, and MEP systems.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, mechanical standards, and industry best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with green building practices and LEED certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with smart building technologies and automation systems for mechanical services.
• Professional certification in mechanical engineering (e.g., Society of Engineers UAE) is an advantage.
