Job Description

• Lead the preparation of accurate and detailed cost estimates for large-scale oil & gas construction projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to gather necessary data and clarify project requirements for effective estimation.
• Analyze historical data and industry benchmarks to refine estimation methodologies and improve accuracy.
• Develop and maintain estimation templates and databases to streamline the estimation process and enhance efficiency.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential project challenges and incorporate contingency plans into cost estimates.
• Review and verify bid documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards before submission.
• Present estimates to stakeholders and respond to inquiries, showcasing the rationale behind cost assumptions and methodologies.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to gather pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitiveness.
• Participate in post-bid reviews to assess performance, identify lessons learned, and improve future estimation practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to refine estimation strategies and recommend best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred.
Minimum 10-12 years of experience in mechanical estimation within the oil and gas construction sector.
Proven track record of successful project estimations and bid submissions in large-scale oil and gas projects.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and industry standards.
