ADNOC Schools is currently seeking a Senior Accountant – Budgeting and Reporting (GL) - Temporary. This is a temporary role for 6 months. The current vacancy is based in ADNOC Schools HQ and will support and work with all four campuses.
ADNOC Schools are Massachusetts State Curriculum schools and provide high-quality learning environments in Abu Dhabi City and the Western Region of Abu Dhabi Emirate. This position will be for an immediate start.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the maintenance of General Ledger and correct assignment of GL accounting codes to all financial & accounting transactions.
- Complete budget monitoring against all Procurement Recommendation Reports and Purchase Orders.
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Keep track of and fulfill all the requirements of non-routine reporting transactions.
- Facilitate internal and external auditors in coordination with the Finance team to ensure clean and timely internal, interim, and year-end audits.
- Support management in ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the Line Manager.
- Coordinate month-end closing tasks, prepare and finalize journal entries, reports, and schedules which are the basis for accounting entries prior to posting.
- Prepare the monthly financial report in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standards.
- Prepare various reports and GL schedules to monitor the accuracy and completeness of the financial information generated from the transactions.
- Support budget and forecasting activities.
- Prepare audit-related schedules and ensure that the audit is completed within timelines.
- File corporate VAT returns with FTA to ensure VAT law (2018) compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Professional qualification with relevant experience in Budgeting and Reporting.
Minimum Experience
- Minimum 3+ years in Reporting and Analyst role.

- Advanced Excel skills with proven financial modeling experience.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical capabilities and hands-on experience in MS Office presentations and other reporting tools.
