LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team located in Cherry Hill, NJ. This role will be a contract assignment and offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial efficiency and compliance of a company dedicated to improving health outcomes worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director.
Help oversee and manage individual accounts.
Create, send, and follow up on invoices.
Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets.
Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensuring all calculations and data entries are correct.
Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients.
Report any troubling discoveries or suspicion of wrongdoing to the proper authorities.
Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
Participate in the financial audits.
Support the payment processing team.
Conduct ad hoc analysis and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an accounting assistant or in a similar role.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g., SAP).
Understanding of basic accounting principles and proficiency in mathematics.
Attention to detail and the ability to spot numerical errors.
Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
