Are you an experienced professional dedicated to enhancing academic excellence? City University Ajman is seeking a motivated and organized Quality Assurance professional to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Formulate strategies, policies, systems, procedures, and practices for the university's academic quality assurance and enhancement.
  2. Assist in developing policies and guidelines on teaching evaluation, program review, and student learning assessment.
  3. Monitor, review, audit, evaluate, and continuously develop the university's quality, alongside its quality assurance and enhancement strategies, frameworks, and procedures at all levels to promote academic excellence in learning, teaching, and research.
  4. Provide administrative and substantive support for quality assurance and enhancement at all levels of the college and support institutional and course accreditation processes for external organizations and agencies.
  5. Monitor, review, audit, evaluate, and continuously develop institutional and course accreditation.
  6. Advise on program and course approval and development.
  7. Oversee the allocation of teaching development and organize teaching enhancement activities.
  8. Compile publications on learning and teaching enhancement as necessary to provide a quality assurance perspective.
  9. Participate in the preparation and implementation of departmental academic plans.
  10. Monitor issues and concerns related to student affairs and direct activities for the improvement of student learning within the department.
  11. Establish and sustain appropriate structures for management, consultation, decision-making, and communication with staff and students.
  12. Accomplish the university's objectives concerning students admissions and enrollment.
  13. Develop course design and identify needs for revising the curriculum periodically.
  14. Serve as the custodian of students records of achievements.
  15. Support students with research, internships, and the use of practical labs.
  16. Supervise academic advising of students in department programs.
  17. Participate in the administrative tasks within the department.
  18. Propose and implement policies to enhance research activities within the department to uplift academic development.
  19. Coordinate with other Deans/Department Chairs to escalate university research projects.
  20. Follow up on the assessment and quality assurance of academic programs within the department.
  21. Ensure a safe, healthy, hazard-free environment for both staff and students, guaranteeing full compliance with health and safety requirements.
  22. Ensure that university equipment under the department's control is properly maintained and serviced as required.
  23. Ensure all activities are carried out to the highest possible standards and that the required evaluation and monitoring procedures are properly documented to ensure both compliance and improvement; such procedures will include teaching, research, and management of all resources.
  24. Comply with auditing, quality assurance, and risk management procedures, both internal and external, to safeguard eminent service to staff and students.
  25. Prepare correct and error-free e-Course files for all courses assigned.
  26. Participate in various projects that serve the community.
  27. Participate in the accreditation process and document preparation for related academic programs.
  28. Attend meetings when necessary.
  29. Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or academic administration, preferably in a university setting.
  3. Strong understanding of accreditation processes and quality assurance practices in higher education.
  4. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
  6. Proficiency in relevant software applications and data management systems.
