Senior Process Safety Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage process safety aspects of onshore oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Provide expertise in process safety, HSE management, and loss prevention during all project phases (FEED, design, commissioning).
• Conduct hazard analysis (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, etc.) and risk assessments to ensure process safety integrity.
• Collaborate with design teams to integrate process safety solutions into design packages.
• Review and validate safety-related designs and systems to ensure they meet project specifications and industry best practices.
• Act as a key advisor on process safety during the project lifecycle, from conceptualization through to commissioning.
• Ensure continuous improvement of safety practices and contribute to safety audits and incident investigations.
• Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resolution of process safety concerns.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background in process safety, HSE, and loss prevention.
• Proven experience in FEED and detailed design phases, particularly in onshore oil and gas projects.
• Experience in PMC (Project Management Consultancy) and working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety management systems.
• Experience with hazard analysis techniques, risk management, and safety case preparation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
