Reporting Manager Title: Director of Projects

Responsibilities:

1. Duties will include data gathering and site survey of existing telecom systems.
2. Preparation of Front end engineering deliverables including design basis, specifications datasheets, sizing calculations, studies and reports.
3. Preparation of FEED and detail design deliverables such as Block Diagrams, Location Layouts, Cable Routing Layouts, Interconnection drawings etc. in collaboration with designers.
4. Carry out bid evaluation/ vendor document review and approval.
5. Co-ordination and network design / interface with required Process Control & Safety systems.
6. Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Oil & Gas Business Unit.
7. Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
8. Exposure to man-hour estimate and preparation of proposals.
9. Work is performed in accordance with broad technical guidelines and with minimal supervision.
10. Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
11. Willing to learn and work on other areas such as instrumentation and control systems if project demands or opportunity is given within organization.
12. Preferably experience working with Aramco standards and requirements.
13. Engineering degree or equivalent; previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded.
14. Relevant years plus experience with Telecom design and engineering in the Infrastructure and buildings space.
15. A positive attitude towards Health, Safety and the Environment.
16. The ability to work within a project team.
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
18. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work unsupervised.

Position Specific Experience:

1. Execution of Telecommunications projects; both standalone and integrated.
2. Sound knowledge of International codes and standards related to telecommunication field. Preferably experience with Aramco standards and procedures.
3. Design experience in various long haul transmission systems encompassing SDH/PDH nodes, MPLS TP node, Gigabit Ethernet switches etc.
4. Design of systems such as Telephone System, LAN System, TETRA System, Microwave Radio, VHF Marine Radio, VSAT, PAGA, ACS, CCTV, Intruder detection system, Structured Cabling System, FO Cabling, Telephone cabling etc. to suit client requirements.
5. Interface requirements with various Control systems, Electrical Systems etc.
6. Cyber security.
7. Preparation of Telecom system specifications and equipment datasheets.
8. Preparation of Technical Bid evaluation and recommendations.
9. FO link budget calculations, Bandwidth requirements, Radio coverage study, Speaker coverage calculations etc. using standard software’s available in telecom industry.
