Job Description:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the reservations department to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure the quality of reservations is maintained in terms of guest details, rates, payment methods, etc.
- Plan and utilize efficient organizational skills to run daily operations.
- Develop & maintain an induction & training kit for new and current staff, focusing on the sales process, selling techniques, and up-selling.
- Ensure the team maintains comprehensive knowledge of all room types, hotel facilities, and promotions, and can communicate this professionally.
- Monitor test calls conducted by third parties, providing feedback on sales techniques and other relevant information.
- Prepare efficient work schedules, approve leaves, and plan vacations as per business demand.
- Develop & maintain individual departmental checklists to ensure all routine tasks are completed.
- Assist the Revenue Manager in preparing necessary reports and documents, and other tasks as required by management.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in reservations management within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in reservation management software and familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
