Supervising and coordinating the activities of workers involved in metal fabrication processes (structural fabrication).
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining clean, orderly, and safe work areas.
Following the plan given from the Engineer for daily/monthly targets.
Interpreting the approved drawings, specifications, and job orders to workers, and assigning duties accordingly.
Inspecting materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Knowledge about different metallurgy plates and pipes.
Conducting employee training in equipment operations, work, and safety procedures, or company policies.
Recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Assessing production schedules and estimating worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
Pipe supports fabrication knowledge is highly preferred (Experience in products like cradle/saddle supports, clamp supports, trunnion, and reinforcement supports).
Communicating with other supervisors/foremen to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Ordering necessary supplies and materials for the shop required.
Knowledge for making dies/fixtures for the products fabricated for pipe supports production.
