Aerospace Engineer

Description:

Responsible for the engineering design, analysis and documentation of aerodynamic structures and mechanical systems & sub-assemblies.

1. Provide manufacturing support to fabricator and the installation/operations team.
2. Familiar with common manufacturing methods.
3. Communicate technical status and issues to internal management and brief customers/clients as necessary.
4. Mentor less experienced engineers.
5. Promote, manage, engineer and document development of new products.
6. Develop designs targeting highly constrained size, weight, and power environments.
7. Working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis techniques.
8. Interpret and develop requirements and analytical models.
9. Knowledge of empirical aircraft stress analysis techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

1. ABET accredited BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience.
2. The ideal candidate will be experienced in finite element analysis.
3. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of related application software such as FEMAP/NASTRAN.
4. Must be eligible to work in the United States and maintain a security clearance.
