Floor Supervisor

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Floor Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on the shop floor of our hypermarket. The Floor Supervisor will ensure excellent customer service, maintain store standards, and assist in managing the team to create an efficient, customer-friendly environment. This role requires strong leadership, multitasking, and communication skills to maintain a high standard of store presentation, inventory control, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Store Operations: Oversee daily activities on the shop floor, ensuring smooth operations in all departments (grocery, electronics, clothing, etc.).
• Staff Management: Lead, motivate, and coach floor staff, including cashiers, stock clerks, and sales associates. Ensure adherence to schedules and performance standards.
• Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive exceptional service by resolving issues promptly and ensuring that employees are approachable and helpful.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, coordinate with inventory control teams to ensure products are adequately stocked, and maintain accurate stock records. Help with stock replenishment and proper product display.
• Store Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain store appearance and cleanliness, ensuring aisles are clear, products are correctly displayed, and the store is neat and tidy.
• Sales Floor Monitoring: Ensure merchandise is well-organized, and promotions are displayed effectively. Assist in product placement and layout changes as needed to maximize sales.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that the store meets all health and safety regulations and company policies, including emergency protocols.
• Training & Development: Assist in training new and existing employees, providing feedback to improve performance and ensure alignment with company standards.
• Reporting: Assist the Store Manager with reports on staff performance, customer feedback, inventory, and sales trends.
• Conflict Resolution: Handle customer complaints, employee disputes, or other issues quickly and professionally to maintain a positive store environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a retail supervisory role, preferably within a hypermarket or large retail setting.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field is a plus.
