Job Description
- Perform regular maintenance and repair work on a diverse fleet of vehicles, including Hiace Vans and 3 ton trucks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential problems before they become major issues.
- Replace or repair faulty parts and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Prepare reports on the condition of the fleet, including recommendations for future maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
- Manage inventory of parts and tools required for maintenance and repairs.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic and electrician, preferably with experience in fleet maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues in vehicles.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prepare detailed reports.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Certification in automotive repair and maintenance is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
