Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in our construction projects by ensuring accurate cost estimation, monitoring project finances, and providing expert advice on cost management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting cost estimates, feasibility studies, and budget preparation for construction projects.
  2. Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  3. Analyzing and evaluating project costs, variations, and claims.
  4. Monitoring project finances, tracking costs, and providing regular reports.
  5. Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  6. Conducting site visits to assess progress and verify quantities.
  7. Assisting in the procurement process and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
  8. Providing expert advice on cost management, value engineering, and cost-saving measures.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 7 years work experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  3. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  4. Strong knowledge of cost estimation, quantity take-off, and cost control methods.
  5. Proficiency in relevant software applications such as MS Excel, cost estimating software, Cost X, and AutoCAD.
  6. Life Cycle Costing and Cost-benefit analysis.
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  9. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. Professional certification or membership with relevant industry bodies is a plus.
