About the job

  • High School certificate combined with practical experience in early childhood care or education for at least two years OR with an ECCE training program of not less than 100 training hours.
  • Certified vocational certificate in early childhood care and education (Level 2).
  • Arabic Speaking is mandatory.
  • Evidence of relevant training is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, commitment, and integrity.

As an Arabic Teacher Assistant, there are several key skills that are valuable in supporting the teaching and learning process. Here are some of the essential skills:

  1. Arabic Language Proficiency
    • Fluency in Arabic: A strong command of Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and, ideally, at least one dialect (e.g., Egyptian, Levantine, Gulf).
    • Grammar and Syntax: Deep understanding of Arabic grammar, sentence structure, and verb conjugations.
    • Pronunciation: Ability to model correct pronunciation, especially of difficult sounds (e.g., ع, غ, ق, etc.).
    • Reading and Writing: Proficient in reading and writing in both print and cursive Arabic, with attention to the script's unique aspects.
    • Vocabulary: Knowledge of a wide range of vocabulary and idiomatic expressions, as well as regional variations.
