Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Private Live-In Chef to join our household. The chef will be responsible for preparing meals for a family of five, consisting of two parents and three children, as well as for the household staff. The role requires the chef to live in the house with us and travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook three separate meals daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for the parents, children, and household staff.
- Create a bi-weekly menu that will be changed every 2-3 weeks, focusing on high-protein, high-vegetable, and low-carb meals.
- Ensure all meals are nutritious, balanced, and cater to the specific dietary needs of the family and staff.
- Handle all aspects of grocery shopping, including purchasing fresh, frozen, and pantry items from the supermarket or ordering them as needed.
- Organize, stack, and manage the kitchen pantry, ensuring that all items are properly stored and that adequate supplies are maintained.
- Maintain a high level of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to HACCP standards.
- Manage kitchen access, establishing and enforcing regulations on who may enter the kitchen.
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient kitchen management and organization.
- Accommodate any special dietary requirements or preferences.
- Travel with the family as needed to ensure continuity in meal preparation.
- Work six days a week, with one day off.
- Collaborate with the family to create meal plans and grocery lists.
- Monitor food preparation and ensure everything is set up properly, especially during family meals and gatherings.
Requirements:
- Certification in HACCP or equivalent food safety standards.
- Certification or qualification in nutrition, with a strong understanding of calorie and dietary needs.
- Proven experience as a private chef or in a similar role, with the ability to prepare children-friendly meals.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Flexibility to travel with the family as needed.
- Preference for female candidates, ideally someone who is a mother, though male or female applicants will be equally considered.
- Preference for candidates who are Muslim or Christian. No drinking, smoking, or sleeping out is allowed.
- Willingness to undergo a 6-month probationary period.
- Willingness to work in the UAE, with compensation and benefits as per UAE labor law.
- Non-sharing accommodation provided (own bedroom and toilet).
Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications.
