Reviews customer’s prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed drugs, and to evaluate their suitability
Provides the customer with information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage
Compounds and dispenses medications as prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
Ensures understanding the customer’s needs by conducting necessary questioning and providing assistance when necessary
Achieves sales targets by using sales techniques, up-selling and cross selling of all Super Care categories
Orders and purchases pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies, or drugs, maintaining stock storing and handling
Complies with local rules and regulations in regard to pharmacy activities, including but not limited to preparation, labeling and delivery of medication and other pharmaceutical supplies
Maintains and reports the pharmacy’s records as required by the external authorities (i.e. Dubai Health Authority, Ministry of Health, etc.
Liaises with insurance companies to process insurance on time and resolve billing issues
Handles daily operational tasks such as inventory management, expiry management, merchandising, etc.
Is Flexible to work in different shifts & location as assigned by the Line Manager in order to fulfill business requirements.
Job requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
License from: DHA or willing to convert MOH/DOH to DHA.
Minimum of 1 year experience as a registered pharmacist.
Strong Communication skills in English, Arabic/Tagalog.

Health Advice: Offer guidance on over-the-counter medications, lifestyle changes, and other health-related concerns, such as smoking cessation, weight management, and diet.
Clarifying Instructions: Ensure patients understand how to take their medications and answer any questions they may have regarding their prescriptions or treatments.
3. Drug Interaction and Safety
Monitoring for Interactions: Check for potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications before dispensing medications, ensuring patient safety.
Patient History Review: Review patient medication histories to prevent harmful drug interactions and ensure proper medication management.
Adjusting Medication: Recommend changes to prescriptions if necessary, in consultation with healthcare providers, to ensure optimal patient care.
4. Pharmacy Operations and Inventory Management
Inventory Control: Monitor and manage the pharmacy’s inventory of medications, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and medications are stored correctly.
Stock Ordering: Place orders for medications and pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring timely restocking to avoid shortages.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications, prescriptions, and controlled substances in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
5. Collaboration with Healthcare Providers
Interdisciplinary Communication: Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient care plans, drug treatments, and potential adjustments to therapy.
Clinical Support: Provide expert advice on the selection of medications, dosages, and administration methods, ensuring that the treatment plan aligns with the patient’s medical needs.
6. Regulatory Compliance and Legal Responsibilities
Adherence to Laws: Ensure compliance with federal and state laws regarding the dispensing of medications, especially controlled substances.
Licensing and Reporting: Maintain current licensure, and report any adverse drug reactions or medication errors to the appropriate authorities.
