Debt Capital Markets - DIFC

Job Purpose:

• To support the Head of DCM in originating and executing bond and Sukuk transactions and managing the DCM business.
• Actively support the DCM Head in maintaining repeat mandates from key clients and originating new mandates from the GCC and select international geographies
• Internal and external stakeholder management (engagement with coverage teams, rating agencies, law firms etc)
• Take the lead on origination efforts including preparing pitchbooks and other client marketing materials, market updates, pipelines, deal execution documentation, roadshow materials etc
• Lead transaction execution and active management of workstreams
• Be an integral member of the DCM team and work collaboratively to achieve the team objectives.

Principal Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Deliverables of Role:

• Support DCM Head in origination of bond/Sukuk transactions (public and private)
• Responsible for preparing marketing materials including pitchbooks, sales memos, teasers and market updates. Ensuring that the quality of all material is market standard, developing relevant content specific to makrets, and build templates for pitchbooks including detailed credit and financial analysis
• Responsible for ensuring that key clients are covered with regular market updates, calls etc in coordination with coverage teams
• Keeping up to date with market developments in context of how they impact the DCM business and fixed income markets
• Actively manage transaction execution (managing timelines, coordinating roadshows, drafting investor presentations etc)
• Manage DCM coverage for select clients
• Ensure that all internal compliance policies and processes are being met
• Manage the DIFC related processes and procedures (work closely with UAE SEO and Compliance officer)
• Support DCM head in managing underwriting positions
• Support syndicate in investor engagement

Job Requirements:

Knowledge:

• Investment Banking products preferably DCM (Bonds and Sukuk)
• Experience in DCM deal origination/ execution and key products within DCM
• Understanding of GCC markets/clients
• Knowledge of sukuk markets/structure
• Experience in leading all aspects of transaction execution
• Experience in using Bloomberg and Bloomberg related plug-ins (i.e. excel)
• Strong knowledge of power point and excel

Education / Certifications:

• BSc/ BA (Finance related), CFA/ MBA

Experience:

• 8-10 years of which at least 5 years in investment banking related business
