The Role The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing procurement-related activities worldwide and controlling procurement cost, quality, and schedule of raw materials and service by implementation of a procurement strategic plan. You will be responsible for creating procurement processes for the company’s raw materials. This involves sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing in the market to get efficient and cost-effective procurements.
Typical Duties:
Sourcing raw materials worldwide
Finding alternative suppliers of raw materials
Strategic procurement of materials across various toll blending locations
Identifying, evaluating, and contacting potential suppliers based on cost, quality, time delivery, and service criteria
Negotiating contracts, terms, pricing, and time delivery agreements
Planning procurement strategically based on cost and on-time delivery
Monitoring supplier collaborations and performances
Keeping track of the quality of supplier agreements
Preparing and processing purchase orders based on approved requisitions, ensuring accuracy of specifications, quantities, and delivery dates
Drafting supply contracts, contract extensions, and amendments
Establishing and updating an approved vendor database in ERP
Creating a strategic and budget sourcing plan
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemicals/Engineering/Supply Chain Management
Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in the Chemical/Engineering Industry
Broad knowledge of the procurement process
Possess good negotiating skills
Familiar with procurement procedures and standards
Experience with Microsoft Office/ERP
Fluent English writing and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
