Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring that all vehicles are serviced and repaired efficiently and to a high standard.
- Manage a team of technicians and service advisors, providing guidance and support to optimize performance and productivity.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and customers.
- Monitor workshop schedules and workloads, efficiently allocating resources to meet customer demands and minimize downtime.
- Control inventory levels and ordering of parts, ensuring that necessary components are available to avoid service delays.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their concerns and providing exceptional service.
- Analyze workshop performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement in efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and warranty requirements, safeguarding the integrity of the workshop’s reputation.
- Prepare and manage the workshop budget, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost reductions.
- Conduct regular training and development sessions for staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge of new technologies.
Desired Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a workshop or automotive service environment, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Relevant educational qualifications, such as a diploma in automotive engineering or business management.
- Certifications from recognized automotive organizations, showcasing technical competence and industry knowledge.
- Proven experience in managing a team, with strong interpersonal skills to motivate and develop staff.
- Familiarity with workshop management software to streamline operations and maintain accurate records.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, with additional language skills considered a plus for customer interactions.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, able to address challenges proactively and efficiently.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all clients interacting with the workshop.
