PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Administration
    Develop creative designs for a wide range of hotel needs, including brochures, menus, banners, advertisements, social media content, signage, and email templates.
    Produce layouts for both print and digital platforms that convey the hotel’s branding and messaging.
    Ensure that all visual assets adhere to the hotel’s brand guidelines.
    Collaborate with the marketing team to develop designs for seasonal promotions, events, and campaigns (e.g., Ramadan, Festive Season, MICE).
    Consistently apply branding across all visual mediums, including logos, typography, color schemes, and imagery.
    Assist in the creation of multimedia content, such as infographics and video animations, to enhance marketing efforts.
    Keep and manage open files of all designs related to hotel promotions and operations.
    Prepare layout of all hotel publications well ahead of schedule for preparation to Director of Communication.
    Maintain and organize the hotel’s visual assets, including photo libraries and design files.
    Ensure all images used in designs are high-quality and meet hotel standards.
    Handle all photo taking for banquet functions and for special events for PR coverage.
    Update photos of hotel facilities and services.
    Capable of conceptualizing and developing graphics.
    Experience on PC graphics software.
    Appreciate consistency of graphic style and typography.
    Have at least a working knowledge of and be able to type accurately in English as well as be aware of editorial style.
    Conscientious, reliable, and self-motivated and be able to fulfill demands with minimal supervision.
  2. Training and Human Resources
    Ensure close working relation not only within the Communications department but also within all departments that would need art service.
    Ensure wherever possible that employees are provided with a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and victimization.
    Treat complaints of harassment and discrimination promptly and confidentially.
    Treat customers and colleagues from all cultural groups with respect and sensitivity.
    Identify and deal with issues which may cause cross-cultural conflict or misunderstanding.
  3. Technical Responsibilities
    Design and execute visual artwork for approval of Director of Communication.
    Execute final artwork.
    Handle all basic photography work required in the hotel.
    Manage all screens/promotional channels located within the hotel.
    Update designs for all hotel publications, promotional materials, and art requirements.
  4. Miscellaneous
    The Graphic Artist must coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth running operation of the job functions.
    The Graphic Artist may be called upon to undertake other responsibilities in accordance to the requirements of the management.
    He/she may be called upon to assist on special mission or replacement in commercial or administrative department of the hotel.
    All staff are required to comply with every reasonable request from their hierarchical supervisor(s) within an amount of time that it takes to comply under normal circumstances.
    All staff may be assigned to other duties in the hotel as and when required by business levels.

JOB REQUIREMENT

  1. At least 2 years of experience in hospitality industry graphic design. College degree in graphic design or a related field.
  2. Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Word, and PowerPoint.
  3. Experience with video production and working knowledge of After Effects and Premiere.
  4. Ability to take creative direction and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
  5. Ability to work within established branding guidelines and understand the importance of maintaining brand standards.
  6. Ability to prepare electronic files for print.
  7. Hands-on experience creating internal newsletters, corporate emails, and print material.
  8. Mastery of the Arabic language is a plus, allowing for the creation of bilingual content to better cater to local markets.
