Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

Are you passionate about aviation training and ensuring the highest standards of safety and proficiency? We're seeking skilled and dynamic individuals to join our team in this full-time ground position as Synthetic Flight Examiners (SFEs).

As an SFE, you'll play a crucial role in the aviation training process, conducting simulator pilot checks and validations to ensure compliance with the regulations set forth by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Emirates requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct FSTD training and ground school in line with company procedures and requirements.
  • Deliver recency training as required by the company in accordance with the approved syllabus.
  • Facilitate Fixed Base and Full Flight Simulator transition training.
  • Conduct instructor and examiner simulator training.
  • Complete and submit accurate detailed reports and assessments of pilots under instruction in accordance with company guidance and policy via the existing electronic reporting system.
  • Provide recommendations to training management for any changes that may improve efficiency, safety, quality of training and standardize procedures and teaching techniques.
  • Support with adhoc projects, course development and other tasks as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Hold or have held an ATPL and appropriate instructor/examiner certificates.

Experience

  • Min 1 year experience as an examiner on Airbus aeroplanes.
  • Have at least 1500 hours of flight time as a pilot on multi-pilot aeroplanes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting Flight Tests: Evaluating pilots' flying skills, knowledge of regulations, and aircraft operation during practical flight tests.

  2. Issuing Certificates: Determining if a pilot meets the standards required for various licenses (e.g., private, commercial, or instrument ratings).

  3. Evaluating Knowledge: Administering oral exams and written tests to assess a pilot's understanding of aviation theory, regulations, and procedures.

  4. Providing Feedback: Offering constructive feedback and guidance for improvement to ensure pilots meet safety and proficiency standards.

  5. Staying Current: Keeping up with changes in aviation regulations, technology, and training methodologies.

Skills Required:

  1. Extensive Flight Experience: Significant flying hours and a deep understanding of various aircraft and systems.

  2. Strong Communication: Clear and effective communication skills for explaining procedures and providing feedback.

  3. Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate performance objectively and make fair assessments.

  4. Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail in evaluating skills and understanding regulatory requirements.

  5. Interpersonal Skills: Building rapport with pilots to foster a comfortable testing environment.

  6. Integrity: Upholding high ethical standards and ensuring fairness in assessments.

Training and Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Typically requires a current flight instructor certificate and additional qualifications, such as an examiner rating.
  • Experience: Many examiners have years of experience as pilots and instructors before becoming examiners.
