Financial Controller – Oil & Energy

Our client is an established company in the Oil & Energy division going through a sustained period of positive change and business growth. They are looking for a Financial Controller to join their Head Office in Dubai. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the CEO, you will play a leading role in the development and management of the accounting and finance function.

Core Duties:

1. Support the CFO in leading the day to day financial operations of the business
2. Financial reporting for all corporate and business units including statutory accounts, tax returns and Zakat declarations
3. Monitor and control budgeted expenses and disbursements, including detailed cost accounting and cost estimating for a number of entities across the region
4. Manage compliance to accounting best practices
5. Ensuring that a full set of accounting policies and procedures are in place across the organization
6. Develop a robust system of internal controls and corporate governance
7. Prepare financial information (group and individual business units) for submission to any external financial institutions or investors when required
8. Provide financial support to the financing, due diligence reviews and integration of any new acquisitions
9. Carry out any ad hoc projects or special assignments as requested by the Chairman and CEO

You MUST be a qualified accountant
Fully bilingual in English and Arabic
Ten plus years experience, including time spent in a reporting role in a multi-national/listed company
Experience of working in the Oil & Gas or Power & Energy sector

Note: Only candidates with previous experience in Oil & Gas industry and an Accounting qualification will be considered for this position.
