Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients, including their medical history, to determine the best course of treatment
Perform complex surgeries on the mouth, jaws, face, and neck area, including but not limited to dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, and corrective jaw surgery
Diagnose and treat facial pain disorders, facial deformities, and oral diseases
Collaborate with other medical professionals, such as dentists and orthodontists, in creating treatment plans for patients
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and techniques in oral and maxillofacial surgery to provide the best possible care to patients
Manage post-surgery care and follow-up appointments with patients to ensure proper healing and recovery
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care techniques
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and progress
Participate in conferences and educational seminars to continuously improve skills and knowledge
Requirements
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
Completed residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Board certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Current and valid state medical license
Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical procedures
Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Compassionate and empathetic nature towards patients
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle high-stress situations with composure
