About The Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Consultant Colorectal Surgeon to join our team in Dubai. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing specialized surgical treatment to patients with disorders of the colon, rectum, and anus. As a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, you will be required to perform complex surgical procedures, manage pre- and post-operative care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans for patients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct consultations and medical examinations of patients to determine appropriate treatment plans.
2. Perform routine and complex colorectal surgeries such as colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, and anorectal disorders.
3. Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients, including monitoring progress and managing complications.
4. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
5. Stay updated with new advancements and best practices in colorectal surgery and implement them in the practice.
6. Mentor and train junior surgeons and medical staff.

Requirements

1. Medical degree from an accredited institution.
2. Board certification in Colorectal Surgery.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
6. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
7. Must be Western-trained.
