About our client

Our client is a major global investor based in Abu Dhabi. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and work closely with the Head of Strategy & Asset Allocation in enabling the effective management of the Investment Sector.

What the job involves

1. Assisting in the development and implementation of the fund's asset allocation strategy
2. Assisting in identifying medium-term investment themes and opportunities in the market
3. Monitoring developments in capital market expectations and providing strategic views and research into new investment ideas
4. Supporting the identification, development/configuration and/or maintenance of investment risk IT systems
5. Ensuring investment risk data is properly collected and analyzed before usage
6. Attending investment conferences to enhance the development of the institutional risk monitoring and management community in the UAE

Who we are looking for

1. A financial background and experience working in a relevant field
2. An interest in and understanding of financial markets
3. Strong relationship management skills and problem-solving competencies
4. Strong market monitoring capabilities, not just across private markets but other related markets, for example, leveraged finance
5. Sound judgement and enthusiasm for risk measurement and monitoring, with a focus on the overall portfolio strategy
6. A high degree of economic literacy on private and public markets with a keen understanding of different asset classes
7. A commercial nature when viewing potential business plans and opportunities
8. A degree from a top university, ideally in law, finance, statistics, economics, or an equivalent degree
